Businesswoman Accused of Cyberharassment and Online Smear Campaign

Mame Diarra Thiam, alias Diodio Glow Skin, allegedly funded a smear campaign and cyberharassment operation online.

The investigation revealed that Thiam had allegedly financed a smear campaign and cyberharassment operation online, using 7 million CFA francs to pay influencers to target her detractors. The operation involved a list of targeted individuals and influencers who were paid to spread negative content about them. The evidence against Thiam includes a secret audio recording between one of the influencers and Thiam’s associate, discussing the payment and division of the funds.

The investigation also revealed that Thiam had initially confessed to the crimes during an interrogation, but later retracted her statement, claiming that the funds were for charitable donations. However, the evidence against her, including the secret audio recording, contradicts her claim.

The case has been ongoing since April 2026, when seven employees of Thiam’s company were arrested for allegedly stealing cosmetic products. Thiam and her associates had initially claimed that the company had suffered a loss of over 200 million, but the investigation revealed that the loss was greatly exaggerated.
