Bittium Establishes Tokyo Office
Bittium Holdings sets up Tokyo office to provide data center power and cooling systems in Japan.
Bittium Holdings, a US-based data center equipment provider, has established a Tokyo office to provide data center power and cooling systems in Japan. The company aims to address the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
Bittium’s Japanese business has previously relied on local sales agents to deliver its products. The company has established a Japanese subsidiary, which will collaborate with local construction companies to build large-scale data centers.
Bittium’s Asia-Pacific regional head, Paul Churchill, emphasized the need for the company to establish a service structure in Japan, including technical staff. The subsidiary currently employs around 50 people, but may expand to 100 or 200 staff in the near future.
