Bangkok Reduces Water Levels in Flooded Areas

Bangkok's water levels are decreasing, but some areas still have waterlogged streets.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has been working to reduce water levels in flooded areas, with some success. The community in Khlong Rong Kiat, Lat Krabang, has managed to lower the water level by more than 25 centimeters per day, allowing residents to move around freely. However, some areas still have waterlogged streets, particularly in sois.

The BMA has been working to drain water from flooded areas, with some progress. The water level on main roads in Bangkok is expected to improve, but some areas may still experience flooding. The BMA has also announced plans to use biological agents to mitigate the smell in affected areas.

In related news, the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior has reported that 49,000 people have registered for flood relief on the Bangkok government’s website. The most affected areas are Lat Krabang, Bang Kapi, and Sai Mai. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has also announced plans to provide assistance to affected residents, including cash, home repairs, and equipment.
