AI-driven chip demand sends SK hynix's third-quarter operating profit surging more than sixfold
SK hynix's third-quarter operating profit reached 83 trillion won, surging 632% from a year earlier.
The company’s sales and operating profit have hit record highs for six straight quarters, driven by expanding investment in AI infrastructure.
This investment has led to increased demand and prices for memory chips, particularly high-bandwidth memory and server-use high-performance storage products.
As a result, SK hynix’s third-quarter sales more than tripled to 104 trillion won, exceeding the company’s total revenue for all of last year.
