AI-assisted vulnerability in PHP programming language exposed
Goverments and organizations worldwide temporarily shut down websites due to newly discovered security flaws in PHP.
The flaws were discovered using artificial intelligence and were present in the code for over a decade.
Experts estimate that 400-500 million websites worldwide, including those using the popular WordPress tool, are affected.
The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and other organizations have urged website operators to install the latest update or shut down their sites until the issue is resolved.
