95% Chance of AI Investment Bubble Bursting
Experts warn of a 95% chance of an AI investment bubble bursting, threatening Norway's pension funds.
Several of the world’s largest companies, including Microsoft, Alphabet (Google), Amazon, and Meta, are investing heavily in AI infrastructure, such as data centers and AI chips.
For the first time in history, some of these companies are spending more on building out their AI infrastructure than they are generating from their operations.
Goldman Sachs estimates that these companies will borrow around $420 billion next year, with some companies already having borrowed over $90 billion this year.
