39% of French SMEs Hit by Cyber Incident in Past Year
Cyberattacks are a serious threat to all economic actors, including SMEs and local authorities.
The cyber threat is not limited to large enterprises or government ministries. According to France Num, 39% of French SMEs have suffered a cyber incident in the past 12 months.
The risk is still largely underestimated, with only four out of ten companies adopting basic security measures such as two-factor authentication, and a third without external backups.
These attacks can be malicious, but also come from foreign powers seeking to weaken economic actors.
